Myth 1: My existing insurer covers my EV the same way

Reality: coverage terms for EVs vary significantly even within the same insurer's policies. A policy written for a gas car may not include charging equipment coverage, may use aftermarket battery parts, or may have electrical surge exclusions that apply to charging incidents. Myth 2: EV insurance always costs more
